ピエタース教会の運河のすぐそばにあるこのコーヒーショップは、学生が講義の合間に立ち寄るような、控えめな雰囲気の場所です。狭いレンガの通りを通り過ぎ、自転車が絶え間なく行き交います。運河沿いの立地は、しっかりとした旧市街の雰囲気を醸し出しています。客層は多様で、学生やサッと立ち寄る地元の人、そして観光名所から逸れた観光客もたまに見かけます。夕方になると、落ち着いたリズムになり、会話も静かになります。派手さがなく、地元らしさがある雰囲気が気に入っています。週末は人が増えますが、決して混雑することはなく、いつでも外に出て運河の交通をちょっと見ることができます。ライデンの教会や博物館を訪れているなら、旧市街をゆったりと散策する中で簡単に立ち寄れる場所です。
