Went into the center last month (near the [canals](/spain/valencia/canals "Cannabis Social Clubs near Canals, Valencia (2026) | Cannabivo")) and the strains felt inconsistent, prices high for what you get. Maybe I hit the tourist traps. In smaller towns I've found steadier stuff and friendlier vibes. Not saying avoid Amsterdam, but if you live here or have time, try a few places outside the centre ([Maassluis](/netherlands/south-holland/maassluis "2 Coffeeshops in Maassluis Municipality (2026) | Cannabivo"), [Venray](/netherlands/limburg/venray "2 Coffeeshops in Venray Municipality (2026) | Cannabivo") came to mind from friends). In the tourist areas we saw shops that rotate to chase trends; prices are marked up because people will pay for the 'experience'. My partner moved from Amsterdam to [Maassluis](/netherlands/south-holland/maassluis "2 Coffeeshops in Maassluis Municipality (2026) | Cannabivo") and swears the smaller shops have better handling (less drying out, fresher stock). Also, product naming is a mess — the same strain name across shops can be different genetics. So for consistency, find a local you trust and stick with them.
