FYI: shorter waiting times in Reus asociación (what I learned)

Quick heads-up for anyone trying to join a club near Reus — my friend introduced me (as required) and the whole process was faster than I expected. We handed over DNI + empadronamiento, the board discussed it at their weekly junta and within ten days we had an answer. Not every asociación is like this, but if you have someone to introduce you and your documents are tidy, it can move along. Also they scheduled a short orientation and explained the monthly allocation rules. No address shared publicly, obviously.

Buena info. En Reus la mayoría son tranquilos, y si la persona que te presenta es miembro activo ayuda mucho. La junta mira todo con calma pero suele votar rápido.

That lines up with what I heard from someone in Tarragona. If the junta meets weekly and your paperwork is perfect they will usually process faster. Still, don't expect instant — occasionally they postpone one meeting.

Lo confirmé: lo de traer empadronamiento es clave, incluso si sólo llevas un mes empadronada, a veces te piden una copia. Y la persona que te presenta tiene que estar puntal en la junta.

Simple consejo: lleva una fotocopia extra del DNI y una del empadronamiento, por si acaso la archivan.
