Okay unpopular opinion: I think a lot of
Amsterdam coffeeshops get hyped way too much. Went into the center last month (near the
canals) and the strains felt inconsistent, prices high for what you get. Maybe I hit the tourist traps. In smaller towns I've found steadier stuff and friendlier vibes. Not saying avoid Amsterdam, but if you live here or have time, try a few places outside the centre (
Maassluis,
Venray came to mind from friends). Curious what others think — am I being picky?
