Green Leaf Furtwangen e.V. is an Anbauvereinigung (cannabis cultivation club) that fits the town's practical, small-scale feel. It's on a quieter street where you can still smell pine and hear the church bells on Sunday mornings. The surroundings are classic Furtwangen: steep cobbled lanes, a few bakeries, and the odd clockmaker's workshop. I've stopped by a couple of times; there's no place to hang around — people come, pick up their share, and go. The folks who run it are matter-of-fact, very Vereins-style rather than anything commercial. Daytime the area feels pedestrian-friendly; after dusk the town settles and the trees feel very close. If you know Furtwangen, you'll notice it blends into ordinary, lived-in streets rather than tourist spots. It keeps to the practical side of things and then sends members back out into the Black Forest hills.
