Gourmet Greens Royal e.V. is an Anbauvereinigung (cannabis cultivation club) on a quiet stretch near Breitenbachplatz that I walk past when I go get coffee. The street has that older Berlin feel — low-rise apartments, a couple of small shops, and trees that make the sidewalks feel a bit sheltered. You can get there easily by public transit or on a quick bike ride from the surrounding neighborhoods. It’s a working space: paperwork, storage, and a straightforward pickup routine rather than anything flashy. Consumption isn’t allowed on-site; members collect their allocation and head back out. The regulars tend to be locals from the west side of the city — people I recognise from the neighbourhood market or the tram. In winter the lamps throw a soft light over the facades; in summer there are more cyclists and stroller traffic. If you’re coming from noisier parts of Berlin, expect something calm and matter-of-fact.
