The Circle Cannabis Social Club in Berlin

The Circle is an Anbauvereinigung (cannabis cultivation club) tucked into Friedrichshain's mix of old industrial fronts and new cafés. The street is speckled with murals and a steady stream of cyclists, and you can catch music bleeding over from nearby venues on weekend nights. The front is low-key — plain sign, unassuming door — the sort of place you notice only if you’re looking. Folks pop in and leave; it feels practical rather than social. Around the corner you'll find ramen joints, record shops and a few secondhand stores, so it's easy to combine a visit with errands. My interactions there have been short and matter-of-fact; people get what they need and move on. Weekday afternoons are mellow; Friday and Saturday evenings the whole block gets louder. If you know Friedrichshain, the spot fits the neighborhood’s slightly gritty, workaday rhythm.
