If you know Wuppertal, this Anbauvereinigung is in one of those mixed industrial-residential pockets where old workshops and apartment blocks rub shoulders. The street has that practical, slightly gritty feel — brick facades, loading doors, and the odd new bike stand. People come and go with a purpose; it's not set up for lingering. The place runs on a pick-up system: members collect their allocation and leave. Inside it's straightforward and businesslike, no room for on-site consumption or hanging out. Most of the faces you'll see are local; not a tourist crowd. After you sort your bit, it's easy to head up into the nearby green slopes or back toward the center. It feels like a working part of town, plain and unpolished. If you've lived here a while, the mix of industry, small shops and the city's hills will feel familiar.
