The Anbauvereinigung sits a short walk from Oldenburg's little harbour, where gulls and fishing boats set the local pace. The street feels like proper coastal town life — weathered facades, a few cafés with lopsided chairs and the occasional trailer selling smoked fish. Inside it's practical and matter-of-fact; people come to handle their allotments and get on with the day. Most members I see are local — you spot the same faces, talking about tides or town news while they wait. After your visit you can head down to the water or stroll through the old town to clear your head. It's a low-key, workmanlike spot that fits this stretch of the Baltic coast.
