Coffeeshop The Glory Cannabis Social Club in Groningen

Coffeeshop The Glory sits on a short residential street where bikes outnumber cars and people still stop to chat on the pavement. It's a small, no-nonsense coffee shop that feels more like a neighbour's living room than a tourist hangout. On any afternoon you'll spot students from the university with laptops and older locals exchanging the day's news. The crowd is steady but relaxed — nothing flashy, just familiar faces and easy conversation. Inside it's plain and comfortable: a counter, a few tables, and the steady hum of people dropping in. Bike traffic thins out in the evenings, so it can get pleasantly calm after sunset. Staff move with a quiet efficiency, and there's an easy local rhythm to how things run. If you want somewhere to pop in for a quick stop or linger and watch Groningen life go by, this is one of those neighbourhood spots.
