Coffeeshop Het Ballonnetje Cannabis Social Club in Amsterdam

Right off the quieter canals on the eastern edge of the centre, this coffee shop feels like a small, everyday place locals use. The street has the constant shuffle of bikes and people heading to classes or nearby offices, so there’s always movement outside the window. Inside, it’s low-key — nothing flashy, just a spot where conversations are easy and the regulars are actually regular. You’ll see a mix of students, neighbourhood residents and people who clearly know the menu by heart. It’s the sort of place you duck into between errands or before a walk along the water. Staff are practical and friendly without fuss, which keeps the whole vibe relaxed. If you like coffee shops that don’t try too hard, this one does the job and lets the neighborhood do the talking.
