Coffeeshop The Freak Brothers Cannabis Social Club in The Hague, Den Haag

If you live around the quieter edge of the centre, this coffee shop is one of those spots people duck into between errands. It sits on a short, slightly leafy street off the main shopping drag, so you get a mix of office workers and people who wandered away from the tourist crowds. Inside is low-key — easy chairs, mellow music, and enough background chatter that you don't feel on display. The regulars are a mixed bunch: civil servants, creative types, and older locals who like a slow half-hour. You can come alone with a laptop or meet a friend and end up staying longer than planned. On weekends the place livens up; weekdays are calmer and good for quiet conversations. It doesn't try to impress; it's simply one of those reliable local haunts you learn about from neighbours.
