Walk down Bahnhofstraße toward the station and you’ll see the Anbauvereinigung sitting among a row of plain shopfronts. The street is mostly bakeries, phone shops and a couple of late-night döner joints, so it has a practical, no-frills feel. People tend to pop in between commutes or errands — it’s a stop, not a place to linger. The club keeps a low profile; you won’t find flashy signs or anything that draws attention. The cathedral and the Rhine are only a short walk away, so afternoons bring a mix of commuters and the odd tourist detour. I pass it often and it feels matter-of-fact in how it’s run — straightforward staff, no fuss. Weekday mornings are the busiest; evenings quiet down and weekends stay fairly calm unless there’s an event in the old town. Easy to reach by train or bike, with the usual shops nearby for whatever you need.
