Boerejongens Coffeeshop BIJ Amsterdam Cannabis Social Club in Amsterdam

On the east side of Amsterdam, this coffee shop sits among quiet residential streets where bikes rule the road. Locals pop in after work or on the way to nearby shops, so the crowd feels familiar rather than flashy. Inside it's unpretentious: straightforward counters, clear labels, and staff who move things along without fuss. Weekends bring a mixed bunch—students, neighbours, the occasional parent with a stroller—so the room hums but stays mellow. Outside you'll see the usual mix of corner stores, small cafés and takeaways that make this part of town feel lived-in. Service is efficient and the place has a practical, no-frills vibe; nothing staged. It's the sort of spot you end up at when you're exploring the neighbourhood rather than ticking off tourist highlights. Regulars tend to stick around, which says enough about the comfort level here. If you want something low-key and straightforward, this is one of the local options that fits.
