Coffeeshop The Squad Cannabis Social Club in Zaandam

The Squad is the kind of compact, no-frills coffee shop you stumble into when you're poking around Zaandam's centre. It's on a quiet street with shops and canal-side walks nearby, so you get a steady mix of locals and the odd tourist. Inside it's small — a few seats, a low counter and staff who remember regulars. Weekday afternoons are mellow; evenings pick up when people finish work and drift in. There's that easy Dutch smoking-room vibe: relaxed, a bit chatty, not trying to be clever. Bikes clatter by outside and conversations from neighbouring cafés drift in through the windows. Staff keep things straightforward, so you can linger with a paper or make a quick stop without any fuss. If you want somewhere unpretentious to sit and watch Zaandam life go by, this coffee shop fits.
