The Heaven Club

I pass the main road out of Girona and drop into The Heaven Club when I want somewhere low-key. Inside it's unpretentious; people come to sit, chat, and stay awhile. The surrounding streets have that practical, slightly worn feel — small shops, buses coming and going, bakeries that smell like morning. You won't see many tourists here; it's mostly locals who know each other, students and neighbours meeting up after work. Conversations tend to be easy and everyday — music, football, plans for the weekend. From there it's easy enough to head back toward the river or stroll into the old quarter if you want something more scenic. The whole place feels calm and familiar, the kind of association you recognise on sight and stop by when you need a quiet evening.
