Galerie CoffeeShop YoYo Cannabis Social Club in Amsterdam

Galerie CoffeeShop YoYo sits on a quiet side street by Sarphatipark in De Pijp, where the blocks feel more lived-in than the tourist-heavy canals. The name gives it an arty tilt, and the place keeps that low-key, gallery-ish vibe without trying too hard. I've ducked in after wandering the Albert Cuyp market or when I want somewhere calmer than the busy cafés on Ferdinand Bolstraat. Locals drift through—students, creatives, people out with dogs—so it feels casual and unhurried. You can watch bikes and scooters stream past the window while you hang out and chat. The staff are straightforward; no staged fuss, just practical service and friendly banter. If you need a break from the main tourist routes, this is one of those neighbourhood stops where Amsterdam actually feels lived in. Come for something mellow and stay if the conversation lasts.
